STANDARD SETUP - ELECTRIC GUITARS
Pretty much the same as the Class A setup but without the fret dress and electrical service

NOT BE CONFUSED WITH INFERIOR "SET-UPS" OFFERED BY MANY MUSIC SHOPS

This setup is primarily for new instruments which unfortunately generally come from the distributor with a less-than-perfect state of playability. This is not necessarily the fault of the shop where the instrument is purchased, it is just a fact of 21st century budgeting back at the factory where the time needed for a decent setup would probably result in the cost of your guitar being doubled by the time it gets to the shop.. so they don't do it!!
Some shops will setup instruments to varying degrees of perfection prior to display or sale and the asking price can reflect this...... so the cheapest deal is not necessarily the best one!

Bear in mind, many so called guitar technicians think a setup consists on action, truss rod and intonation adjustment.. and no more! Before deciding on purchasing a guitar advertised as having been set up, ask questions about when, how and by whom the setup was done. If necessary, ask for an engineers report.
Depending where you buy... the report might be one of mine!
